The service here is top notch. We shared two pizzas between four for lunch and it was fabulous. They have a pizza oven, so the crust is just right and the toppings were very fresh. The gelato bar was a nice finish. Fantastic fresh flavours! View all feedback.
What latebecomesearly doesn't like about Chinos:
This was our second visit, the first was disappointing as the kitchen forgot to add cheese to our calzones. There were only 3 ingredients other than the dough. I hoped that all ingredients would be included this time around. There was a wrinkle to this plan as this establishment now only offers the calzone of the day meaning only one type, probably to avoid exactly this type of mix-up. The calzone of the day did not... We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant with a gorgeous outdoor patio surrounded by beautiful flowers and shrubs, as it is located in a garden center. The wood fired pizza we ordered was top-notch, and the field greens salad tasted like it was freshly picked. The salad was lightly dressed and generously portioned enough for three people. The service was impeccable, with our server being a skilled and pleasant young lady. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
We used to enjoy going to Chinos, but our last three visits have been disappointing. On one occasion, we ordered the Cobb salad, but they forgot to add corn. Despite the tough times for restaurants, corn is inexpensive and should have been included in the salad. The next time we went, hoping to try their soup, we were told they were out. During our most recent visit, we ordered the soup and salad combo with an upgraded Cobb salad, a small pizza to share, and a coffee, totaling $61. The dressing on the salad was minimal, and the pizza was burnt on half of it. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they dismissed it casually. The lack of service, poor food quality, and indifferent attitude from the staff were unacceptable. Despite our neighbors also experiencing similar issues with burnt pizza, we have decided not to return to Chinos. We regrettably gave a 10% tip, but in hindsight wish we had taken a photo of the burnt pizza.
My family of five, including children, waited for an hour and a half from ordering to being served. Despite everyone being hungry, we were not able to enjoy our snacks until after that time, turning them into the whole family's dinner. The pizzas took an additional 15 minutes to arrive. The food was good, but the long wait has deterred us from returning.
The most attentive server!!! Made recommendations for us and we followed her recommendations and we were glad we did. Fantastic calzone and spinach dip. Superb gilato, Mmmmmm chocolate.
We got seated in a timely manner and had our drink orders taken. We got our drinks and had our orders taken. All good till now. That’s the last we heard from our server for nearly an hour. Others that were seated before us got their food before we got ours. I left my seat after 45 minutes of waiting to take a walk outside where another gentleman met me with a same complaint. When I approached a staff member there was no acknowledgment, just vague excuses. Another table of 3 or 4 behind us also had a similar experience. Very sad because this wasn’t our first visit but it may be our last.
