The Bair is a unique restaurant that is also a living museum. It is located in a historic building that is filled with very cool old stuff, making you feel like you are back in the early 1900s. The restaurant has a wide variety of food options, including lots of gluten-free choices. Everything is made to order and delicious. The Bair is a great place to check out and experience. We will definitely be coming back here... View all feedback.
What Corbin Gibson doesn't like about The Bair At The Bair Drug Hardware:
I recommend eating before you come. Expect to be here for 1.5 to 2 hours. I was told I had to get on the waitlist to be seated, which is fine. It was just weird because the place was only half full. I came back after it had been well past time, and I was seated. We got our food after sitting in a half-full restaurant for about an hour. Food is great, service not so much. It’s like, they don’t really care if you come... View all feedback.
I took my daughter for brunch on Sunday, since is the only day they serve breakfast all day. We got an Italian soda and a caramel waffle. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was Gabriel and he was so sweet and attentive, he really made the experience worthwhile. I felt like everyone that helps us that day was so sweet and nice. Recommend 10/10
We have loved this building for now four generations of our family coming here. The current proprietor makes delicious food and pours her heart and skills into every scratch recipe. Today, we were well taken care of as we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their outdoor dining space. Everyone loved their food, enjoyed friendly attentive service, and enjoyed many “memory lane” conversations about coming to The Bair (and Mom working part-time here back in the day). Nostalgic, special, fabulous food, and great people. Thank you to Sara and her fantastic team!
For fans of antiquing and the old ways. It's like getting to eat in an antique store that actually used to be a real drug store and post office. They haven't packed the place with tables, so it'll never get too noisy or crowded. This would be a great place for a low key breakfast with your sweetheart, or to take a large family group to show off the best of the South Sound.
This is the first time I've ever lived near here and found out that this was a restaurant. A drugstore with a hundred years of history was the best brunch restaurant. All the food was great and our server was very friendly and considerate. She provided everything I needed. I was particularly impressed by the fresh taste that wasn't too salty or spicy. Now this place has become my favorite restaurant :
I hadn't been here in forever and then ended up going two weeks in a row for breakfast with different friends. Yep, it was and is that good. I had their amazing House Corned Beef Hash the first time and their equally delicious Meaty Pete Scramble on my second visit. Everything was hot and prepared perfectly and you get real butter and house made jam with your toast, muffin or biscuit. The atmosphere is antique bistro/soda fountain with plenty of cool and historic things to look at. Step out the door, take two quick lefts and an amazing view of the sound awaits. Lastly, the waitresses (a different one each visit) were friendly, knew the menu very well and were highly efficient, my coffee cup was never empty. One of the best all around breakfast meals I've had in awhile, I will definitely be going back soon.
