The menu was classic and very w... read more We went to Holzgauerhaus last week to have a nice meal, we thought. It is the only 'fancy' restaurant near the village of Warth. The menu was classic and very well prepared. The service was terrible. We had made a reservation and after we had taken the restaurant at the hotel reception (not in the restaurant itself). There, apart from all other guests, an old man stared at us all the time, which felt very unpleasant to us. When we asked why we were sitting in this place, they said that in the "real" restaurant only hotel guests who seemed to be a total lie were allowed to sit outside in this part of the restaurant. The waiters were unloved to us the rest of the evening and tried to gather us by giving us some liquor. It didn't work. They ruined our evening by never apologising to lie to us and be their guests! Too bad the food was good.

In sunny wea... read more We were there for lunch after our hike. There is a beautiful terrace with a beautiful view of Warth and the mountains of Arlberg and Tannberg area. In sunny weather conditions, the terrace is a perfect place to enjoy a hike or... to close the tour. The service is very friendly and helpful as well as the quality of meals is delicious and you will find some traditional and local delicious meals. Only the risk is to get a seat, so it makes sense to make a reservation in advance.

The menu was classic and very well prepared. The service though was terrible. We had made a reservation and after we...entered the restaurant were seated in the reception of the hotel (not in the restaurant itself). There, apart from all other guests, an old man was constantly staring at us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. When we asked why we were seated at that spot, they told that in the real' restaurant, only hotel guests were supposed to sit, which appeared to be a total lie when other guests from outside were allowed to sit in that part of the restaurant. The waiters were unkind to us the rest of the evening and tried to make up to us by giving us some schnapps'. Didn't work. They ruined our evening, by never saying sorry for lying to us, being their guests! A shame because the food was good.
