We didn't mind, but just a minute later, someone came... read more I visited Ruby Tuesday in Statesboro, GA last night and was informed that there would be a 10-minute wait. We didn't mind, but just a minute later, someone came over to check if we had been helped. We explained that we had just been told about the wait, and she promptly seated us at a table. It struck me as odd, given how many empty tables there were, that we were told there would be a wait at all. Once seated, our waitress approached to take our drink orders. I ordered a glass of wine and was taken aback when she asked to see my ID. I thought she was joking, considering I'm 72 years old. It turned out she wasn't joking at all! I asked her why she needed to see my ID for a glass of wine, and she explained that it was their policy. I mentioned that I had been there just the week before and no one had asked for my ID then. She simply repeated that it was their policy. Frustrated, I decided to leave and went to Olive Garden instead, where I wasn't asked for my ID when ordering a glass of wine.

When w... read more There was a long wait when we arrived. We were initially informed it would take about 20 minutes, but it ended up taking closer to 1 hour and 20 minutes. When we inquired about the wait time, the hostess was unfriendly and mentioned that the 20 minutes was just an estimate. Hmm. Once we were seated, however, Hannah provided excellent service. Despite being busy, she made sure we were well taken care of. The food was also good.
