When my food finally arrived, I politely asked the young man if I could get... read more I waited 30 minutes in the drive-thru. I ordered sushi, so I anticipated some delay. When my food finally arrived, I politely asked the young man if I could get a cup of teriyaki sauce. He was rude and snapped that I needed to get back in line to request it at the window. Seriously? You're coming from the kitchen! I’m not going to wait another 30 minutes for some sauce! This was my first visit to this location in a long time, and after this experience, I'm not sure I’ll return. Shogun offers better quality food and friendlier staff. I was just looking for some fast food… what a mistake!

However, I'm giving it only 3 stars because of the cumbersome receipt and pen process. I don't believe it's necessary to sign or add a tip when using the drive-thru. What situation would require me to provide proof that I purchased a spider roll on a Friday night and left a 15% tip? Just swipe my card and hand over my food, and please include the receipt in the bag.

I wasn’t too happy about the additional $1 charge for zucchini, but it ended up being the best zucchini I’ve ever tasted at a Japanese express restaurant! The steak was cooked nicely, but it wasn’t freshly prepared; otherwise, I would have rated the experience 5 stars!
