My husband I had the best experience! Oysters, Filet mignon, lobster tail was phenomenal. The food was amazing, but our server Matt made the night. Matt's energy was so amazing he made the experience so fun having us laugh the whole night. I highly recommend having Matt as your server if your wanting to leave happier then when you came. Martine also added to our amazing experience! Thank you, Melissa Austin : View all feedback.
What Larry Page doesn't like about Friday's Station Steak Seafood Grill:
The food is ok, the layout of the dining room could probably be better optimized for viewing, maybe with a special place for patrons to take photos instead of in front of my table. From where I sat, I had an excellent view of the back of people's heads, random photo takers and Harvees. Mike, our Waiter was great! But we decided all things considered we would rather go elsewhere for the price. Food: 3 View all feedback.
We arrived in town and we have been to Friday station probably six times we had reservations for the 20th. It was my birthday celebration. We are CEASARS diamond members and we thought we would go there and celebrate. I believe we made reservations about two weeks out. We always get there early. The doors open at five. We had been out front for probably 20 minutes. We are the first people to come in. Normally there is a male maître d' I think actually he was opening the front doors and it was having difficulties. There was a female at the podium. She wasn't actually very friendly. I told her that I had reservations and told her my name and I asked her if we could sit by the windows which there are probably at least 10 to 15 locations by the big windows facing the lakes as well as upper booths and she said to me that those had been reserved back in September. Meaning that somebody had made RESERVATIONS prior to me but in this restaurant I don't ever think there is ever reserved seating or where are you can tell them I want table number one for example, I just let it go on the way out, I was going to ask her name but she was not there. We were seated along the side and it was a window seat which was fine. Our waiter was Anthony. He had a pretty good personality. We spoke to him about quite a few things as the evening moved on in time, he seem to be rushed and our service from him kind of dwindled. We spoke about ordering what's called the baked tahoe for desert or in other restaurants baked Alaska we brought it up in conversation probably three times to him. We received our meal and it was great when we were done our plates sat on our table for approximately 10 minutes before he finally came back around and picked them up. He brought me a little birthday dessert, and then he brought us a check. There was no question if we wanted baked Alaska or should I say baked TAHOE that's what they name it there none whatsoever when he came back around and I paid for the check I mentioned it to him and he said oh...well do I want one now and of course I did not. I already paid for the check, so I do not appreciate the females lack of customer service or her mannerism at the entrance podium! I was analyzing the whole situation of who was sitting on one side, and who was sitting at the very front of the restaurant, facing out towards the lake, and I do not appreciate Anthony, ignoring us, letting that plate sit on our table for 10 minutes not hearing a word from him and then not bringing us the dessert that we were wanting to order, for those reasons we're really not excited about going back. The food was great. The customer service was terrible. One more thing I wanted to bring up the restrooms there are rather small in the men's room. There's one toilet and one latrine. This is Friday and the latrine had a big sign on it about 12 x 24 that said, closed for cleaning and they had an orange cone in front of it, I think that that was absolutely ridiculous. No class! If it was broken, they needed to get a plumber in there and get it fixed that left only one place for a gentleman to go to the restroom and it looked terrible. My overall rating for this place is a D..
Special occasion meal at Friday's Station offers a great view of Lake Tahoe from the top of Harrah's. The service is always exceptional! The blackened rum butter shrimp is a long-time favorite. While still good, it was not as good as i remembered on our most recent visit. The shrimp were not as big. They used to use bigger prawns. The sauce didn't taste as sweet and the blackening rub was overdone. The side veggies were perfect and the mashed potato side was creamy and delicious. The caesar salad was as good as it gets! Cold, crisp Romaine with yummy, garlic croutons and a housemade dressing.
Dined the last night. Service was extremely slow and the food was way over priced for quantity served. Took 45 minutes for a salad/water/drinks. This was at 5 o'clock. First time there and last.
This is Dr. Di, and my husband is Professor Breunlin. We're from Chicago and visited the restaurant on November 4th to celebrate my husband's 76th birthday. Unfortunately, it turned into a very unpleasant evening. We were asked to leave, with the reasoning that we were intoxicated, which was a complete misunderstanding. We had only ordered food and a total of three drinks. My husband feels we were unfairly judged when we entered the restaurant; I was wearing a rainbow scarf supporting gay rights and we were speaking Spanish. I’m 65 and, following my husband’s birthday, he is 76. At the time we were asked to leave, we were completely coherent. Given our age, we simply don’t drink heavily. After reflecting on the situation, we believe our treatment may have stemmed from a mix of homophobia, racism, and ageism. It’s clear that employee training is needed in this establishment. We do not recommend this restaurant.
We had a lovely time enjoying a glass of wine and an appetizer at the bar. The bartender was excellent, and the view was stunning. Overall, we dined in for a different meal. The price per person was around $20–30. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a perfect 5.
