I had th... read more Excellent BBQ as well as Hash&Rice. The ladies were super sweet and helpful. For connoisseurs , the sauce is a delightfully tangy tomato/vinegar blend. I had the small plate, my husband some sandwiches. Portions were generous and filling. The Alice Dr location is open Wed thru Sunday. Others are open over the weekend. They do take credit/debit cards, at least at this location. Read about Ward 's in The State paper of Columbia. 1st Place Winner with over 20000 votes as best BBQ of the Midlands. Runner up won 17000+ votes. The reason I mark it a 4 is NOT why you go to a BBQ place. But the slaw and potato salad were not up to par. To be honest, I 've never been a fan of slaw, and grew up on German style potato salad. I thought both were quite bland, and the dressing very soupy. My husband, after we got home and had some from the tubs we bought, agreed. (Slaw fan). I 'd definitely go back for BBQ and hash&rice. Yum!
