What User likes about Local Whiskey:
The food at this restaurant was really good. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich and the Beaver burger a lot. I didn't even feel the need to order fries. I am excited to try more dishes in the future. I visited on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. View all feedback.

We visited this restaurant for drinks and food. The drinks were great as always. We ordered fish and chips like we had before, but this time we were served a small portion with a minimal amount of fish. I've been here a couple of times, they have a great whiskey and bourbon selection, had the grouper fish and chips special, and it was very good. Nice place to go when traveling for work, or leisure. (There is a parking garage one block over that is only a 2 or 3 minute walk away)

Extremely slow service. Came in to celebrate my wife and sister's birthdays, but it took over 20 minutes to get the first round. My wife wanted a chocolate martini and wow...it was on from then. I watched a guy training two other bartenders, which looked like their first night behind a bar. We wanted to order some food but that took another 10 minutes after the first round. Because there was hardly anything open on December 27th we stayed for another round. We we left with only 3 rounds and over 2.5 hours later. This place is normally a fantastic place to find an excellent array or whiskeys, but the service has seriously gone down.

Its a great place, friendly staff and amazing fries. Full spirit rotating tap selection. Also, the normal bar foods are spot on!!!

Local whisky is my favorite place to get food / drinks, but the service was so terrible today, I had to leave a review. I come here often so that I am very aware of what my sum adds to every time as I get the same again and again, but today my total value was more than 20% than it is in the rule. However, the 20% charge is not even the most ridiculous part. what was more ridiculous is the fact that my partner ordered a meal that at $16, he specifically asked the waiter before ordering if the rider replaced by an salat would be a fee. She said no. we got the bill the sum was $22, so he asked why and she said her manager does not allow substitutions. the problem is not the price, it is only the lack of accountability on the server end. if they are not aware of the policy of the restaurant, ask first with the manager before they give an answer to the customers. says "no fee for a substitution", then load $6 extra, and not even apologise to be wrong is unreputable.
