Kaarma
Description
Kaarma offers a vibrant buffet and an impressive array of vegan options, recently transitioning all vegetarian dishes to plant-based. Guests appreciate the accommodating staff, though experiences can vary from enthusiastic to slightly less welcoming. The food, featuring fresh ingredients and less oil than typical Indian fare, is generally well-received, with standout dishes like mushroom muttar and Bombay aloo. While the buffet is limited to lunch—often pre-mixed with dairy—dinner allows for customized vegan meals. Overall, Kaarma succeeds in providing a delicious, shareable dining experience, though some may prefer the bolder flavors found at other local Indian restaurants.

I have only been to Kaarma once, as I usually favor Indian Pavilion (IP). During my visit, I was drawn in by the tempting aromas outside the restaurant, but I found the flavors of the dishes disappointing, particularly the Saag Paneer.
I visited the buffet and during my first trip, the waitress was very enthusiastic about showing me the vegan options. She mentioned that they had recently converted all their vegetarian dishes to vegan. However, on my next visit, the man I spoke with seemed annoyed by my inquiry but still pointed out a few vegan items in the buffet. I've also ordered from the kitchen on other occasions, which was just average. Overall, the food is decent, but in my opinion, India Pavilion typically offers better Indian cuisine for vegans.
I think their food is absolutely delicious! They are incredibly accommodating when it comes to making our meal vegan. I really appreciate that they serve the food in a bowl and also provide a plate, making it easy for my husband and me to share. Why settle for just one dish when you can try two?
Karma is one of two Indian restaurants offering a lunch buffet in town and the prices and food offerings between the two (the other is India Pavilion) are...
It was really good but i have a nut allergy and i ordered something with cashew sauce because a lot of indians are vegan and use lactose substitutes in their marsala and they didnt tell me that they used nut and i got an allergic reaction it wasnt anything too bad because my allergy isnt severe or anything i just got an itchy throat and a stummy ache. 3/5
