Harvey's - Starkville

Harveys features a menu that includes all the classic options, and the prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and the decor showcases some interesting MSU memorabilia.

This restaurant is not living up to its former glory. I ordered a mahi special, which had an unpleasant smell and looked even worse. It was so unappetizing that I couldn't bring myself to eat it, taking only a single bite.

My group and I dined there every Thursday for three years, which adds up to quite a few meals. Harvey's is the only restaurant in Starkville where we've encountered a bug in our tea, a rubber band in our pasta sauce, a bread tie in our salad twice, and noticed clean glasses being stored on the floor next to the bathrooms. We were relieved that none of us experienced any severe gastrointestinal issues after these meals since we all had to work the next day. Despite these experiences, the atmosphere is charming and inviting, and the city has a generous spirit. It's a shame Jay would not have approved; sadly, he continued to support the place.

We felt fortunate that we didn't suffer any unpleasant effects before 4 PM, as we all work until 5. While it is undeniably one of the greasiest spots in town, it does have a wonderfully charming atmosphere. It's a shame that Jay, who would have never approved of these issues, has moved on.

Excellent service! The lemon pepper chicken and the seafood pasta were both outstanding. The ambiance was great as well. I will definitely be back!
