Churchill's Fish Chips - Stansted

I drive from Saffron Walden just to get my Fish and Chips from this place. It's the best Fish and Chips for miles around! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10

I appreciate the fact that they offer Gluten Free options on Mondays and Tuesdays (cooked and stored separately), which was the reason we decided to visit. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. We ordered only the chicken (which was already cooked), gluten free chips, and a BBQ burger. It took well over 30 minutes from ordering to receiving our food, during which time we had to watch others come in, order, pay, collect their food, and leave repeatedly. The team seemed uninformed about the gluten free service they were providing, resulting in multiple mistakes for several customers while we waited patiently. It was quite a frustrating experience, to be honest. It's unfortunate because it's a great concept, but the execution was lacking. I give it 3 stars for the idea, but I wish the implementation had matched the intention.
