Ray's - Stanford
Ray's
Description
Nestled within the local campus, this restaurant offers a mixed experience for diners. While the prices are reasonable and portions generous, service inconsistencies and bland flavors mar the experience. Some patrons enjoy nostalgic flavors and recommend dishes like the Roasted Butternut Squash Salad, noting room for improvement in freshness and seasoning. Others express disappointment with slow service and misunderstandings over menu items. Despite its potential as a casual dining spot perfect for studying or watching games, guests are cautioned to manage expectations, particularly regarding menu variety and food quality. Overall, it’s a place with promise but room for enhancement.

My husband loves everything from Ray's, and I especially enjoy the egg rolls—they're my favorite!
The Roasted Butternut Squash Salad was bomb! If there was cranberry or some tart element to it, that would be even tastier! But the chefs may want to check the freshness of their arugula, some pieces seemed to have moulder...
I gave this restaurant a lower rating because when I ordered the hamburger, it wasn’t mentioned that it came with fries. I ended up ordering extra fries and paying for them unnecessarily, even though the fries that came with the burger were good.
Came to get a bite to eat here the menu is big but the food is bland with no flavor. I asked for a Stella and they ran out and didnt bother to change the keg they just asked me to order something else. I will not be back.
