St Marys Vaults - Stamford

This afternoon. the new management has made this really a pleasant pub. in particular, they have refreshed the atmosphere with many new artworks and design touchses. the place is very neat and the beer is well maintained. good selection of games also. the top floor is now a beautiful escaping area with space for children. I'm back in the future to get rid of the food.

What a beautiful little gem, it is very rare to find such a beautiful old inviting pub that still holds this original old English pub vibe. the staff is beautiful and the beer is fantastic, it feels like a small village pub in a very lively city. there is also an open fire for a cold day that I could no longer enjoy the personal is absolutely beautiful.

An absolute jewel. I visited this charming pub with its interior and a good ninety-year-old friend in the wheelchair. first impressions are so important, and as one of the masters has stopped the door for us with a welcoming smile, we felt at home immediately. the staff was very friendly and, although they do not serve guinness, the house stout was a very nice replacement. the food was presented very well and my fish and chips were as good as anyone I cost. when the natives heard that in the second world war george was in the raf with one of the local characters of the city (harry cottrell), he became the toast of the pubs. it made georges week. I would like to thank the staff for welcoming and their well-maintained beer and excellent eating and hope that they will pass on our warmest wishes to the masters who felt an old man so happy. I hope we have the chance to bring him back to this wonderful place. I welcome you all very much.

Met the new owners who seemed really nice, they have many new ideas for the pub, they really let us feel welcome. they make some really nice more likely and a great mix of other drinks. they now have 1 billard table and a rule to limit themselves to 3 games, which is good when there are lasting people waiting. a lot of luck for carolyn and collin.

Good proper boozer!! Dart board (although the doubles and trebles did t seem to work!! , Pool table and really good value Samuel Smith beers and ciders. Love this place. Always pop in when in Stamford.
