Luigi's - Stamford

This is my family's go to Italian place. It's pretty much your standard red sauce joint, which isn't meant as a criticism at all. Luigi's does Italian comfort food, pizza, pasta, salads, antipasti, the usual, and does it all extremely well, and for us to keep coming back in a town that, let's face it, isn't exactly short of good Italian food means we like it a lot. Nice folks, a consistently good kitchen, a pleasant room for a sit down meal, and fast takeout service. Highly recommended. Family favourites include the hot oil pizza, the cauliflower pizza and the orrechiete.

Local mom and pop , never came here but has been around forever and it is worth all the hype. Me and her are going through a small rough patch and we needed to get out and get something new and I am glad we came here for a little couples night and meal. I got a classic dish of fetticini Alfredo but with a twist added some shrimp in it. I am not a fish fan but boy it was good. Shrimp was fresh as the day is old and sauce was amazing and really hit the spot. The mood was just right and the service was excellent it was nice to have the feeling of being a handsome everyday man again and making her smile with her round little face was nice to see, the staff certainly helped set the mood for us and it was a great romantic experienced for everyone. Not sure if the owners name is really Luigi , but hey Lou thanks for a great night and setting my fiancée straight and keep up setting the mood and great food

Great spot to eat late, fresh warm bread served at table, food is good and not expensive. Yes!
