The corn coated... read more Bartaco is a delightful new addition to Stamford Downtown. I can't get enough of this place - I've been there four times in the last few weeks. The corn coated in cheese is a must-try, as well as the chopped salad with avocado, cheese, pickled veggies, and chips. Their guacamole is top-notch and served with freshly fried chips. The service here is impeccable. It's the perfect spot to be on weekends after 6, but good luck getting a table or a seat at the bar. While the tacos can be a bit hit or miss, I always go for the red snapper taco and it never disappoints.

We have visited the Port Chester location many times and recently tried the Stamford location. The menu in Stamford is not as adventurous as the one in Port Chester, but the food and cocktails are excellent. Our go-to order is the large taco platter, which includes a selection of tacos, tamales, sides, and guacamole. I recommend trying a platter, especially for first-time guests. Our favorite tacos are the Red snapper a la Plancha, Spicy Chorizo, and Lamb Barbacoa. Both the chicken and pork tamales are delicious. For drinks, bartaco offers a variety of beer, wine, tequila, and cocktails. Our top choices are the bartaco Margarita, Caipirinha, and Rosita with hibiscus-infused Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila.

The manager Matt is super accommodating and incredibly friendly. My top picks are always the falafel taco and pork belly taco. I never come here without ordering the plantains ; the dip that comes with it is so good! It is never too crowded here. Always found good seating. Bar is always free to sit as well. Definitely a continuous lunch spot for me !!
