Came for a few drinks and a bite to eat after walking up Pen-y-ghent and were blown away by the warm, friendly, and generous welcome we received. Food was delicious but we will definitely be back for the service most of all. A welcome family run pub. View all feedback.

YOU CANT PARK HERE! Parked in the car park whilst unloading for a local Airbnb. Whilst waiting for others in our party to arrive went to the Craven Heifer to have a drink. Upon arrival at the bar the publican hit us up about our cars. Apparently you can only park in his car park if you are a guest of the pub. We booked a last-minute short getaway and were welcomed by a friendly and cheerful team. Our room was lovely, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive an extra breakfast basket since we hadn't originally included breakfast in our reservation. The beer garden with a view of the stream was the cherry on top for me — it was beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely like to visit again!
Gail Garry had a wonderful stay here on Saturday night. The location was great, and the food was delicious. The hosts were very welcoming, making the experience even better. We played some pool and even had an impromptu music quiz that was full of laughter and fun for everyone. The room was also immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the future.
This is a fantastic pub situated in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed a quick midday meal after taking a stroll to the nearby waterfall. The owner really knows his craft, creating a traditional pub experience with exceptional charm! The prompt service and high-quality food at a reasonable price made it a memorable visit. Plus, the restaurant is separate from the bar, which is a great advantage for both diners and drinkers.
Great place. Fantastic selection of beers and lovely food. They have excellent local knowledge and advised us to take a walk to the local creamery for a fantastic wine and cheese tasting. We will definitely be back. Service: 5
