Simple but superly cooked food with excellent service. The hosts offer a small menu but everything on that menu is freshly cooked and of fantastic quality. The portions were generpus and fairly priced. The home-made fishcake starter was perfect and we had the best roast dinner we have had for a while. The Inn is immaculately clean but also holds an old-World charm and atmosphere. Good selection of wines and ales too.... View all feedback.
I visited The Bell twice during my stay in the area. The first time was for drinks, and the next evening I returned for a meal. The staff and locals gave us a warm welcome, which was nice. The service during our meal on Saturday evening was once again friendly and helpful. The pub grub was tasty and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back to The Bell if I find myself in the area again.
My family visited this restaurant for dinner, our first visit since the COVID-19 pandemic and change in ownership. We were happy to find that the atmosphere was still the same and the beer was good. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable.
We love going to this cozy village pub with its welcoming atmosphere. They serve delicious real ales and fantastic British pub food. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth a visit.
It's been a while since we last visited The Bell. The New Hosts were fantastic and very welcoming. The food was even better. My wife and I had the two course option and we chose to have a selection of the meats on offer. Pork, Turkey and Beef. The portion size was spot on and perfectly cooked, enough to fill you up without being wasteful. There was a good selection of desserts which are not to be missed. If you want excellent homemade food that offers value for money and a warm friendly atmosphere the The Bell Haughton is the place to go
We were camping at The Red Lion farm in Haughton and stumbled accords this little beauty. It’s dog friendly, the beer is great and has a lovely cosy beer garden. For me this is the perfect camping pub the staff were super friendly and welcoming, our dog lived the dog biscuits especially and the locals were nice and friendly. We came here for a drink on the Friday, popped back after a long walk Saturday to refresh and then for dinner on Saturday night. The food was lovely and great value for money we had three courses and a lot of beer and it still came in under less than £20 per head. We’ll be camping here again and can’t wait to see the new management continue to bring the oub to life!
