Swan - Stafford

Been here quite a few times now, went there for lunch last weekend, and back in march for my brothers 21st birthday with a group of 9 of us.

I work in the UK 2 weeks out of each month and I try to ensure that I have a comfortable clean place to stay over the weekend.

We went to the swan for a family meal (10 people) especially as I heard it has a vegan menu. the vegan and vegetarian menu was the first thing in the menu booklet (instead of being fucked away at the back) and was clear with what was vegan. there were 3 vegan starters and 5 vegan nets on the menu. the waitress understood vegan needs and has checked twice with the kitchen for us. to dessert they had a good vegan cake (which came from the coffee shop and not on the menu.) the restaurant itself was beautiful and the service relaxed and friendly. it is a scandal that there was no vegan option on the child's menu, and the vegan brain cake was not so delicious, but in an antidote with few vegan choices we will certainly be back when next visit stafford.
