What A A doesn't like about Shandiz Kabob:
Saffron Chicken was good. Lamb, rice and chickpeas were ok, have had better rice and chick peas at most other kabob places. Usually naan is part of the meal but here they charge separate for the naan . View all feedback.
I went there today with my family. The portion of the food was so so small comparing to all the other kabob places I went to in Northern Virginia such as kabob palace in Arlington, Ravi kabob on Glebe Rd, lasani kabob in Lorton, kabob Korner in stafford..... and more. The chickpeas was so so small . We.paid 37 literally for one dish that you can eat at the other places mentioned above for 14 with a huge chickpeas size and tasty meat . The lady that works there doesn't even smile at all . She never greeted me until I said Hello first. After we eat , she never said thanks or if we needed any thing or have a good night . She didn't say a word. I gave five dollar tips and didn't even get a glass for my soda bottle. I wanted an extra bread and was asked to pay cash for the bread. The service was nor professional at all. Very very pricey and cheating on the food portion.I lived in the Northern virginia for 20 years, come on dont treat us like dumb . ? ? Never Again. How rude is that to say that I have to pick up the tray from the table. I gave 5 tips third world mentality for you to pick it up. That's your damn job lazy. Moreover, there was no trash can in the dining room area nor a shelf to put the tray plus that's not a fast food restaurant. It's your job . Liar, my wife found the food tasted like dirt. She didn't touch it at all. You lied the food was only for me and never was purchased to the whole family. Even for one person, that food was not enough at all. With this unprofessional response , you show your absurd Persian Mentality and will fail your cheating buisiness soon. I ll share it widely. Cheater.
Very welcoming and hospitable team, you will feel at home with amazing and delicious fresh cooked meals.
After a super long 7 hour pouring rain I 95 mess we pulled in for the night and saw this little Kabob place and loved it. We were welcomed like family here and the food was good. Loved it.
Shandiz Kebab in VA, a small family-run restaurant, left me with a mixed impression. While the food was decent, I found the portion sizes to be on the smaller side. The atmosphere for dine-in isn't ideal, as it's more set up for takeout. However, what surprised me the most was the unusual request made by the owner. As a Canadian visitor, I was asked to pay in cash or pay extra due to potential credit card charges for non-U.S. clients. This left me feeling uncomfortable and frustrated, as I had to purchase an item without receiving it—a disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. Such a request is indeed uncommon in the global dining scene and detracted from the overall impression of the restaurant.
I got takeout yesterday because my household was feeling kabobs. Found this place on Google maps and I have been wanting to give it a try. Glad I did. I got a lamb and kubideh. The lamb was super tender and the kubideh was flavorful. My wife liked her chicken. My friend really liked the special saffron chicken. Our plates came with bread, salad, rice, and a choice of grilled onion and tomato versus chickpeas. I love that char in the onion and tomato. For me, I go grilled onion and tomato all day everyday. But I also got an extra side of the chickpeas and they were just meh. I probably would not get the chickpeas again. Personally, I would recommend getting a side of the maust-o-khiar (the yogurt stuff) because it was a very nice addition to the meal. The baklava was just ok.Service is excellent. This seems like more of a takeout place. They have online ordering. Parking was easy. Overall, highly recommend.
