The Crab Trap - St Simons Is

Great lean menu with delicious seafood items. Parking gets tricky at busy times but food is worth the trouble! Seafood was fresh and taste delicious. Good drinks and prices are fair!

The only negative about this awesome eatery is that it doesn't open until 5pm. We had fresh oysters, and rock shrimp for our apps. The Rock shrimp stole the show! Their crab soup is also very very good. Entrees were shrimp and grits, fried oysters (2 kids 1 adult) and fried shrimp (kids) . Fries lacked seasoning but you could tell they were hand battered. The fried oysters are the best in St. Simon and Jekyll. Their shrimp and grits were simply amazing.

A cut above your average fried seafood fare. The blackened fish and shrimp were excellent. The fried oysters were fresh and done to perfection. The cole slaw and hush puppies were on the sweet side (if you like that sort of thing). The fries have a unique batter breading. Nice atmosphere and decor.

Best seafood restaurant on the island. I used to live on St. Simons and I vacation there at least once a year. The Crab Trap is our 'must go to ' restaurant every time.

You've done a really good job that everybody sits as fast as possible. The food was really good and quite good service too. The food is a little pricy, but it's worth it. The fish tacos are really small so I do not recommend getting that because the price of it. But the shrimps and grits together with the Cajun shrimps are amazing. I am happy with my experience and would come back here
