My family and I had reservations here after my grandmothers funeral. They were extremely helpful in setting it up for 11 people. The food was amazing and our server Jose was very kind and made sure everything was perfect. I plan on coming back. View all feedback.
What Stephen M doesn't like about Roux:
Not very impressed. Took more than 20 minutes to get a single biscuit we ordered as a starter. Wasnt anything to write home about and it was the special. Would not recommend. Walk a bit farther down the street and go to frog pond instead. View all feedback.
Expected more from a French restaurant. Food was OK but not worth the price. No bread for the table either. Dessert was probably the best thing.
A fantastic local treasure. Stepping into Roux is like stepping out of Rochester and finding an old world oasis of good food, great drinks, and greater staff. There is no bartender in Rochester more personable, talented, or engaging as Louis! I highly recommend taking advantage of extensive repertoire. Without a doubt my favorite mixologist on the East Coast.
I just went for the first time last Friday and I can say I did not leave disappointed. I ordered the escargot, lobster roll and soften the blow (drink) and everything was amazing! I personally wished I’ve chosen another drink because it was my first time trying anything with absinthe (sweet medicine type taste) but it did the job. My friend ordered the mussels, swordfish and a rosé. She said the rosé was extremely acidic which is why she didn’t finish her glass but that was her only complaint. O … – show
Delicious food! Lewis our waiter was awesome. Peach Melba cake was incredible and I tried duck for the first time!
Great food and unique atmosphere. Takes you from WNY to Europe.
