I have been visiting Joey Brooklyn for 10 years now. Whether I'm tipsy or completely sober, I always enjoy the pizza here. I prefer coming on weekdays when it's less crowded. There are no loud drunks around, just a relaxed atmosphere where I can sit on the wooden bench outside and savor a few slices. The pizza is consistently crispy, with a thin crust and a great cheese-to-dough ratio. There's no need to worry about... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Joey Brooklyn's Famous Pizza:
Finding parking, especially for lunch, was quite a challenge. The pizza was good, though I did find a hair in the crust. I had high hopes for the garlic knots, but I discovered that the raw dough seemed almost unworkable. Overall, I was disappointed, but I may give it another try in the future. If things improve, I would be happy to update my review. View all feedback.
Joey Bs is a stable of the downtown bar scene. They are open past the bars and clubs closing at 3a. The pizzas okay. It's good drunk pizza if that makes sense. If you are sober and waiting a good slice and going out of your way for it, prob not the place. But if you have had yourself a night and need something or are waiting on your Uber on 1st, this is amazing. Joey Bs holds a special place in my heart and was there for me throughout my 20s. That being said it's not really a place I frequent anymore but will grab a slice for nostalgia at $5 a pop if I'm in the neighborhood Appreciate you and thanks for the memories 4/5 recommend to a friend in their 20s
I was on my way to go see a movie and I realized I needed something to eat before the show. I stopped in to this cute little hole in the wall restaurant and ordered a sandwich. They make calzones and they're probably most well known for their pizza... But I was in the mood for a sandwich. I asked the guy behind the counter what he recommended the Italian Grinder. Was the sandwich good... Yes. I do have one criticism: it wasn't a very hearty sandwich for the price. The thin layer of meat probably wouldn't have filled me up for a real meal (thankfully this was just a snack before the movies). It was well made, oven baked, and came with a ginormous side of dressing to dip it in. But, for $12 the sandwich still seemed a little bit poor in meat quantity. So I definitely recommend the restaurant... It has a nice warm feeling to it and seems the food is fresh and made well. I'd just order the calzone or the pizza instead.
We stopped by here for a quick bite conveniently located across my friend 's apartment building. The guys in the shop were incredibly friendly. Quick service. Just a few chairs but I 'll take it! The slices are NY style- massive. Crispy crust and great flavor/sauce to cheese ratio. They have all of the pizza fixings as well. They also stay open super late for your midnight snack. Give them a shot!
Stopped in here on our way home. Read some pretty good reviews. We got a standard margarita with pepperoni. The wait was not bad and had time for a beer. The pizza was pretty good. A little more bread than I like but the sauce was pretty tasty. Small counter area so get in and put in your order then take a seat somewhere that's open. I would stopped in here again.
Stopped by to grab a slice while exploring downtown. Ordered a cheese pizza. Super cheesy and greasy. It was good and perfect for what we needed!
