The staff is welcoming and helpful. The food is good, but on the pricey side. You are essentially paying for convenience here. The beer selection is a bit costly as well. View all feedback.

I had different issues there for my one week stay: staff very rude when checking in, for several days in a row other technical issues. No response to some urgent requests I had, although some were promptly answered (thanks to the TV guy), so it’s unequal. Hotel being refurbished not comfortable. People overall (except the young lady at the reception who was nice and the TV guy) working there should really make more e... View all feedback.

There was no chai latte available at 7am, just 30 minutes after the restaurant opened. This was a major disappointment.
I stayed at this restaurant during a business trip. The service was excellent. I particularly appreciated the warm and friendly service from both the waitress and waiter.
Okay the hotel is a bit old fashioned and dated and the rooms need some modernisation but the room was clean and tidy. The staff were also good. I had a corner room (205) and it was a reasonable size. The down side was that the TV was small and old fashioned with no channel list and the tap in the bath would drip away constantly. However that said, its not the end of the world. The breakfast option is not great though if you have it included with the room rate. You have a very basic choice of two cold or one hot option and a coffee or small cold drink. The restaurant was also closed after breakfast. Not a major issue as plenty of places within walking distance but surprised the hotel does not cash in on offering an evening meal option. Try the Hollander Tap bar which is a 5 minute walk away. Parking is valet at $25 per day. All very efficient in that you can text for your car to be ready. A slight shame that at the daily rate that you don’t get a bottle of water in the room though. There is an option to buy in the foyer though. Good location and about a 10 minute walk to the beach front area. Would i stay again, yes but at the right price. Note that the rooms are due a make over with bath room’s according to receptionist being refitted soon.
I was in the area for a conference, so chose this hotel for the location. And the location is great easy walking distance to my conference, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel itself is historic and charming. The staff at the hotel are excellent warm and welcoming, very helpful. But there are areas that can be improved. First shower quality. I stayed 3 nights and every morning the water temperature was lukewarm (at best) and the water pressure was very low. The lighting in my room was pretty bad very dark with no light over the coffee maker area or in front of the closet. Another issue is that the bistro was out of some basic things ex: lettuce for salads, simple syrup for cocktails. With some maintenance and attention, these issues could be resolved. Another issue is the very small on site gym. There are 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 weight bench, and 1 set of weights in a very small area. Every morning, the gym was full (with 4 or 5 people), and while I was there, additional people showed up wanting to work out, but were unable to.
