China Wok Chinese - St. Peters

This place used to be my favorite. I can in at least once a week and got the same thing almost everytime. Typically I pay with cash when I get there but today I figured why not just pre pay online to make a quicker transaction? I put my info in I press order the payment goes through, I get not 1 but 2 notifications from my bank that $21.82 has been withdrawn from china wok St. Peter’s. Great right? No. I get a confirmation text and number from the website Ive always ordered with them on. Perfect I’m $21.81 broker and my food will be ready at 8:21. I pull up to the restaurant. When I ask for my order she grabs the ticket that got sent through. And keeps saying the payment was canceled and never came through… hmm ok well that can’t be true. I can show you here everything is checking out and a okay on my end, I have no notification of a declined or reversed/cancelled payment. Show her both they’re site, and my bank account there’s was plenty of money to place the order and the money is no longer mine it was sent to them. She kept saying insufficient funds. How could a card decline after the money is already gone and been paid. Maybe they were trying to overcharge my card? Idk but the whole situation was frustrating. Like I said I’m was a loyal customer tipped well, caused no issues ever even when I was served 1 star food, to be told there nothing I can do about $21.82 mysteriously being charged out of my account but not showing on they’re end, no option to refund, heck… just give me the food! after a year and hundreds of dollars later you would think I’m good for it…. Anyways ruined my night not satisfied and went to bed starving when all I wanted was my favorite Chinese food place to end a terrible day. You lost a customer and a friend :

Dine here twice a month. Customer Service is excellent. Food is very good.

We just moved to the area and ate here our first night in St. Peter's. It was awesome. Kids loved it. Fiance loved it. I had the hot raised chicken with rice and lagoons. It was delicious, fresh, and we will definitely be dining here again.

This is our go-to Chinese since moving here. It's always fresh, tasty, and they give large portions. You know how places skimp out and your General Tso's is 80% broccoli? They do the opposite here. Two people in my household are vegetarian, they say the tofu is really good, so there's that too.

美式中餐 鸡肉不错，有圣路易斯式炒饭 I tried China Wok after seeing the last review. It definitely is great food for a little American Chinese restaurant. I ordered the hot braised chicken and asked for extra spicy, and they ACTUALLY made it kinda spicy. The fried rice is dark, like what you see in the city, not usually this side of the river, which was a very nice surprise. Great little spot.
