The Thai food at this restaurant near the beach is excellent. They offer a variety of options including salads, soups, and entrees. However, during our lunch visit, there was only one server available. View all feedback.
What Debbie Lewis doesn't like about Basil Leaf Thai And Sushi:
1st time at Basil Leaf. Spring rolls were the best part of our order, full and crispy. The Pad Thai was tastier than the Yakisoba which was bowl full of angel hair pasta, some vegetables and very very very dry chicken for $21.
The sushi was amazingly fresh and the portions quite big! I ordered too much! There were 3 of us eating sushi, so I ordered 4 reels and half was left! Very recommended! One person has the pad Thai and it was really good and a part that could feed two! Even tho was busy the staff kept the meal so never wait long.
DELICIOUS!! And the VARIETY of Thai dishes to Sushi/Sashimi incredible. VERY large portions, and it heats up great the next day!! I LOVE who ever named the special rolls hilarious!! Check out my pictures of the menu. We ordered: Kids Crispy Chicken with fries, Khao Soi (crispy noodles on top and inside), Fresh Basil Sauce with rice and the Mack Daddy (cucumber rolled with Salmon Tuna Amberjack) the ponzu sauce was off the hook!! I wanted to drink it!! Hahahaha I will have to go back to try more Sashimi and Thai curries! LOVE IT!!
My favourite place to order Volcano rolls. I normally order delivery, which is fast and there is always plenty of wasabi included.
A while back I was quite regular in Basil Leaf because the food was always amazing. I visited Awhile for the first time as she rebuilt (which is super basic and nothing imagination) I can honestly testify that sushi is still the best. So fresh and good. We had the sublime roll pad woon sen and Tom yum soup steamed dumplings. Unfortunately, the dumplings were cold, but they immediately exchanged them for others as soon as we informed them. Thai dishes were only “okay” and the service was not super attentive. I would come back for the sushi alone at this time and recommend!
We order spring rolls and 2 sushi rolls to share as appetizers and really enjoyed them. The peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was so good that we scratch the bowl cleanly. Service was slow and restoration was about 75% full. We waited 15 to 20 minutes for the apps and after we finished them we waited for about 45 minutes for 3 noodle dishes and then we decided to cancel the rest of our food. What we got was good, so it was disappointing that we couldn't try our meals.
