The hostess was welcoming and personable. The drinks were great! The filet special was cooked to perfection! We were disappointed with our waiter. He was not attentive. We had great service for breakfast and at the bar during our stay, so it just seemed off. Overall, we would go back! View all feedback.
What Faustino Brekke doesn't like about Coconut Charlie's Grill:
Positives- ability to reserve on Open Table, friendliness on phone when I called with a question, service, quality of food. Reasons why I wouldn’t return- extremely loud. Overall ambiance did not justify the high prices. My scallops were great but the only side dish- succotash- was a ridiculously small amount. I left hungry. View all feedback.
Unfortunately this place is overrated. The food was just okay, very bland

Overpriced Was disappointed that the atmosphere didn’t seem to match the photos online Spent about $250 for a mediocre meal for a family of 4
We were looking for a nice place at St. Pete’s beach for Christmas Eve dinner. This place advertised a special menu of items and a “festive” atmosphere for Christmas. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, then seated in a room which had not a single Christmas decoration, and not a single window, disappointing for a beach spot. It also was loud in the room, from voices of diners at a single long table that carried inside the three walled space. Drinks were great, and the chef did a nice, artful job with food presentation except for one mistake. A couple of us ordered the black grouper which was very good, but the accompaniment a beet and spinach risotto did not appear appetizing because of its color. My daughter commented it looked like uncooked hamburger. It tasted okay to me and I ate most of mine, although my daughter’s comment spoiled it. My son in law, who also had the grouper, didn’t touch his risotto. My wife had the Chicken Wellington and said it wasn’t good. My daughter had the Pasta Papardelle and my son in law ate most of it. And my son chose best his short rib dinner was tender and delicious. Service was excellent, but none of us felt we made the best choice for a holiday dinner, particularly for the prices we paid. Even though everyone on the staff was very nice, we would not return.
Wonderful food, amazing to think this is in a Hilton Garden Inn
