A charming old-world pub with plenty of quirky decorations. During our last visit in July 2021, we noticed that the pub was up for sale. The staff informed us that the tenant had vacated in October, so we are hopeful that it will find new ownership and not be turned into residential property. View all feedback.
What Fay Carrington doesn't like about The Chequers Inn:
I had a very disappointing Sunday roast with my family this afternoon. The meal was served cold, and we had to wait 10 minutes for the gravy to arrive. Additionally, we found hairs in the condiments, and the dessert was burnt and charred in the middle. The prices were excessively high, and to make matters worse, the waitress was quite rude and seemed to struggle with apologizing for the mistakes. View all feedback.
