Ten of us arrived without warning and were quickly accommodated. I am a fan of any place that lets you mix and match sauces and pastas. The waiter took our orders promptly (no notebook in sight) and we received our meals quickly. Entree sizes are generous enough that I'd only venture up to a full serving if I had not eaten for a week! As a bonus there is a selection of ice cream available for dessert. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Porchetta:
Italian restaurant in the Hawken Drive area close to the Uni. There were no Italians on staff that evening and it showed. We ordered veal pamagiana and received a veal scaloppine. The mixed seafood was pleasant and the mixed veggies thoughtfully presented in a deep bowl which kept them warm. This is not authentic Italian and not especially tasty- we might have done better with pizza judging from other reviews. It is... View all feedback.
Such a cozy little restaurant, they also take away. a series of vegan options, including starters, pornstars and desserts.
In all my years of visiting in hawken village I don't think I have once entered in la porchetta. finally came out the day when I booked over the fork for a 30% discount promotion. we ordered:
The advantage of fork festival from 50% discounted on the food bill promo to eat here yesterday evening. it was a busy sat. when we arrived at 18:00 clock, it seemed chaotic in the escapade. warm up after ten minutes, service again be efficient. Created a minestrone soup and an eggplant chips as a deer and small pizza in Italian topping and a risotto with garnel and zucchini.Entrees came with generous participation. To be honest, it was the first time that I had the aubergine chips that had something different than the eggplant dishes I had in the Chinese restaurant, but they taste good. suppe is good, especially the homemade focaccia is very soft. then the net came later, the pizza is full of Sardinian, olive and salami. raw is good without fat. had no such good pizza for one because we came back in the april from italia. risotto came with four huge king prawns and baptized cut zucchini. Perhaps it is this zucchini, the risotto seems slightly watery, but taste good.Overall, it is a decent culinary experience.
