The Wood Shack Soulard - St. Louis

You absolutely must visit The Wood Shack! They have a made-from-scratch kitchen, friendly owners, and a dog-friendly patio. Make sure to greet the owner's sweet New Foundland, Jack. We discovered this gem while waiting in a long line for Mexican food nearby. Chris, the owner, welcomed us warmly and we recommend trying the Mac n’ Cheese Boat with pulled pork. Don't forget to ask Chris to make their Chips Salsa a permanent menu item - it's fantastic. This place is truly amazing, so do yourself a favor and visit as soon as possible.

We have visited this restaurant four times already. We have tried four different sandwiches, and every one of them was delicious. The taste of the meat in each sandwich is excellent. They always have great specials and creative dishes on the regular menu. They also offer fantastic desserts, such as the gooey butter cookie sandwich with peach ice cream and the chocolate caramel gooey butter cake with chantilly whipped cream. This restaurant is quickly becoming one of our favorite sandwich spots.

I am thrilled to have this sandwich shop in Soulard so conveniently located near us! All of the sandwiches are one-of-a-kind and expertly crafted. The meats are exceptional and the macaroni and cheese side dish is my favorite! These sandwiches are not your typical ones, they offer fantastic flavor combinations. If you haven't visited this place yet, make sure to stop by! You will not be disappointed!

What a great place!!!! Been here several times, everything I've had is awesome!!!!! If you want great smoked sandwich you must go here!!!! Bonus......they have wine, beer, sangria, and Monaco vodka drinks!!!

Loved the food and the atmosphere!! Sitting outside on a beautiful night with great food and music. Also, have Jack the dog helped also!! Highly recommend
