If you like a small local family run diner, you'll love this place. Doesn't look like much on the outside, infact wasn't sure we were at the right place but it is a cute little diner. Be sure to check hours of operation and go early. We went on a Sunday at 10am and had to wait 45min. Food was excellent. All items we ordered, Biscuits and gravy, omelette, pancakes, and ham were great. Server and atmosphere friendly. W... View all feedback.
What Anita Williams doesn't like about Riverside Diner:
Waited 1 hour to get a table then waited another hour for our breakfast order. Employees were friendly but clearly stressed and overloaded. There were multiple to go orders pushed through while me and my boyfriend waited in our car and at least 5 more pushed through and out the door while we waited for our eggs. The food was decent but not worth the 2 hour wait. Maybe it was just a bad day for the Riverside Diner bec... View all feedback.
Great neighborhood diner serving my favorites: veggie omlette, rye toast, great bacon, breakfast country potatoes. All at a very reasonable price. Attentive service. My friend I will be back!
First time visit today, don’t know how this place has escaped us until now! Very friendly service, we sat down next to a large table of St. Louis city police officers, so we knew the food was likely to be outstanding, and it did not disappoint! These guys generally know where the good food is! I had a special that was sausage, eggs, sausage, gravy, over a bed of hashbrowns with a biscuit on the side. Well seasoned hashbrowns that were very crispy, obviously housemade sausage gravy and if the biscuit wasn’t housemade, it was high-quality store-bought very fluffy! My wife had their version of a breakfast sandwich and she was very pleased with it as well. High quality coffee with timely refills loved the old school diner vibe. We will definitely make this part of our breakfast rotation!
Love this place, the food give you that real diner feel and taste.. which I love! The staff makes you feel very welcome at all times and never acts like they are too busy to chat for a few seconds! Shout out to Gabe always a pleasure!
Proof not to judge a book by its cover. From the outside it looks mehh. But inside is a different story. It's quaint and homey and perfect! It's the definition of a diamond in the rough! Keep doing what you do! Vegetarian options: Limited Vegetarian options availableParking: Parking available

Maybe it was just a bad day for the Riverside Diner because the other reviews are outstanding but we won't be traveling back from the Illinois side anytime soon
