What Bailey R doesn't like about Heavenly Hot Dogs:
The front-of-house employee didn't bother to acknowledge us when we arrived. After waiting for a while with no assistance, we decided to leave, but even when we thanked them, they still didn't acknowledge us. Their lack of courtesy and rudeness means we won't be returning to this restaurant. View all feedback.
My Sweetheart Asriel and I were in the area on New Year's Eve. We wanted to grab a quick bite. My Sweetheart works at a local hospital and Steve's catered their lunch. It was my first time at Steve's. We enjoyed the food and conversation with the owner. I learned the history of how Steve's came to be! The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly! We definitely will be visiting again! Thank you!
Be sure to stop by next door for a hot dog and a beer! The atmosphere is lively and the food is delicious. A must-visit spot while in St. Louis!
I never thought of St. Louis as a hot dog destination like Chicago, where hot dog stands are found on almost every corner. However, my wife and I stumbled upon Steve's Hot Dogs and Burgers while exploring the Hill neighborhood during our visit to St. Louis, and we were pleasantly surprised. Located at 2131 Marconi Avenue on the Hill since 2011, and at 3457 Magnolia Avenue in the Tower Grove East neighborhood since 2014, Steve's offers a variety of delicious hot dogs and hamburgers. We tried Steve's famous chili-cheese dog, a quarter-pound grilled New York Nathan's hot dog topped with chili, cheese, and fresh onion; the St. Louis-Chicago dog, a St. Louis-style grilled hot dog with classic Chicago toppings like mustard, relish, onion, pickle, and tomato; the Back Yard BBQ dog, a smoked hot dog covered in tangy baked beans, bacon, BBQ sauce, and fresh potato salad; and the simple yet satisfying Madeline, a New York Nathan's hot dog with just mustard. We also enjoyed a bowl of gumbo reminiscent of Louisiana. It's clear that Steve's has carved out a special place in St. Louis with its unique offerings.
You can never go wrong going to Steve’s. It’s one of the best most under rated places in St. Louis! Everything is spot on and perfectly done.
Stopped in here with my friend who lives on The Hill, and she'd never been here. Had the Silver Back Gorilla Mac-n-Cheese. To die for. It was so much goodness in a bowl. Cheese, pasta, bacon. My friend is vegan, and she had plenty of options as well. The guys were great, really friendly and chatted with us while they were making our food. I thought the prices were good and the ingredients were high quality. I am looking forward to going back the next time I'm there.
