Thai Nivas Cafe - St Louis

Ordered lunch to go and waited. Got back to work and started eating and found 2 6-7 inch hairs in my food. Called to let them know. They offered to refund me. Then put me on hold and said I had to bring the food back for refund. My lunch break is over. So now no lunch and I paid for food that was not clean.

Great Pad Thai and sushi. Clean dining room. Attentive staff.On one occasion,, I was there near closing and they started cleaning the restrooms and the chemicals reached our table through the air as they were spraying the tables down (terrible practice I frequently notice in restaurants you should spray the rag directly instead while patrons are present for this exact reason . Now I just make sure I'm not there on the later side of dinner service.Parking: Practically empty lot as most (all? of the other businesses in the same strip mall have closed.

My husband came here today and the woman at the register was very rude and dismissive to him. He opted to not tip because the order was to go and she grabbed a dollar from the register and slammed it into their tip drawer. She then proceeded to put our food on the counter and walk away, not even informing him it was our order. The food was subpar. I had the potstickers and the sticky rice with beef. It was ok but nothing to write home about. We obviously won’t be returning.

Great place! I can't wait to return after my show so I can eat all the things. The sashimi was on point. So beautiful, fresh and delicious.

This evening was my first time trying Thai Nivas and I will absolutely be back! They have a very big menu. My fiancé and I both enjoyed our meal we definitely recommend any of the curry.They had 1 server for the whole floor while hosting numerous big groups (including a party of 20+ , and still made sure we got our food as efficiently as the kitchen could produce our order.
