You absolutely have to try this place; it's fantastic! The Pasta di Mare was light and delicious, featuring a white wine sauce. Honestly, it's one of the best pasta dishes I've had in St. Louis. I also explored the vegan menu, which was impressive. View all feedback.

This was my second time ordering from here last year, and it wasn't great. The Diner Pasta costs $75, and honestly, you’re better off going to Olive Garden. The food there is both better and cheaper. You'll end up regretting it if you choose this place. View all feedback.
My fiance and I decided to go here when we went by City Diner and they were closed. We were hungry so we decided to go into Mangia Italiano. Being vegan I was ready to just eat something simple because I doubted they had anything vegan, but right away I noticed that they had vegan wings on their appetizer menu and a vegan burger on their sandwich menu. When I ask for the weekend wings I was asked if I was vegan to which I said yes and I was offered there vegan menu where they have many other options including some pasta. They have vegan chicken sausage and meatballs available as well to add to your pasta. In addition to that I told them how I was allergic to grapefruit and orange and the bartender and the server each got on their phone to check and see if the beer I wanted to order had grapefruit or orange in it. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. This restaurant is nice and eclectic at the same time and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and the service. I recently moved to Tower Grove because I knew there were vegan options out here, but I am very surprised to see that I keep trying restaurants that aren't known for being vegan yet they have a huge vegan selection and they aren't on any vegan websites such as Happy Cow. I will definitely be going back to Mangia Italiano.
Its atmosphere is very friendly staff helpful staff. The chef is wonderful very creative in each dishes, the flavor is simply amazing once you take that initial bite. This place is definitely a must to try on Southside St. Louis.
I have been coming here for many years! The staff is always super nice and friendly. The quality of the food is amazing and has maintained consistent over the years. I would recommend this to anyone! The prices are great when you consider the quality of food your getting!
Might very well be the best pasta in St. Louis. Well in the price range perhaps. Pesto dish is friggin delicious even with no meat. Tiramisu and Creme brûlée are rich. Atmosphere and service welcoming. You can have a romantic date their in section with table cloth or you can meet casually with a group of people or you can even be that hungry loner and sit and the bar scarfing down food and boring the bartender with your day. I may or may not have been all of these customers at some point I go a lot. Good drinks. I think my fav part is that they serve food so late!
