What Marvin Martinelli doesn't like about POW Kitchen:
For our afternoon drinks we called in at POW Kitchen and Bandroom. We went upstairs to enjoy the street view and open windows. I think it is a Japanese restaurant, however it is not strongly exposed, at least upstairs, few bamboo see through blinds, chopsticks...on the table and so. Overall nice place, polite and kind staff. The beer we tried was Copy Cat AIPA and 4 Pines Summer. Something different and was good on a... View all feedback. What Steve likes about POW Kitchen:
Great environment, fast and efficient service and a plethora of dishes to choose from medium plates are a decent size. Tasty Asian cuisine, only let down by the chili overpowering pretty much each dish, spoiling other flavours. Reasonably good wine list. Kudos to the staff for their attentiveness. 30% locals discount (specific postcodes) on a Tuesday. View all feedback.

While some dishes may not have been impressive, there were standout items like pork prawn dumplings and chicken spare ribs. The overall dining experience was elevated by a wide range of flavorful dishes, including a tasty yellow chicken curry and lamb ribs. The restaurant's hawker-style menu brings a variety of Asian flavors to the table, with standout dishes like sticky lambs. The restaurant is a great spot to enjoy well-balanced spicy dishes and a fantastic drinks selection while watching the sunset over St Kilda bay. However, its location between busy nightclubs can make it difficult to find, so it's best to go early to avoid crowds.
