I was pleasantly surprised to discover a hidden gem of a café among the many other restaurants on the street. If you weren't paying attention, you might easily overlook it. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The seafood pasta and chili prawn salad were bursting with flavor and could easily be served in a high-end, 5-star restaurant. View all feedback.

than a restaurant. Friendly staff but music blaring out, we were the only customers and when we asked if they would turn it down we were told they like it loud to get themselves motivated. Won't be returning. View all feedback.

Picked this restaurant by coincidence just passing by hungry. Had the special scotch fillet with garlic prawns. It was obvious that they hadn't get the finest piece of meat from the butcher. Quite chewy but at least cooked according to instruction. The waiter however was very nice and charming and all in all the experience was ok for the price.
Roaming around Fitzroy St from St Kilda Rd to The Esplanade in the afternoon & met this friendly lady host who invited me to dine in. At 6pm I turned up & there was another table with a Hong Kong couple celebrating their honeymoon in Melb. We had a good chat & became friends. Then, another elderly couple from Sydney heard our conversation & joined in to become friends. Just the 3 tables, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves for the evening. I ordered their signature mains, Pork Belly ... Oolala, best i ever had so far. The Soup was cooked ad hoc by the Nepalee chef & it tasted belisimio. Then, the Sydney couple treated me to a good tasty Double Shots & good old aged Red Wine. What a wonderful evening to have met these lovely people, strangers became friends. My conclusion: Food tasted splendid & was timely served. Kudos to the host & chef. Ambience was excellent, cosy lighting & pleasant soft background music. Price was slightly on the high end but worth it all because of good quality, good taste, good portion & came on the right time wt a pleasant service. What's more to ask? The ONLY set-back & distasteful was the host's hubby who was grumpy, aloof & unwelcoming despite we being so nice customers. I reckon if he continued this way, his wife may close shop in no time. So pitiful that the lady owner had to shoulder the entire buisiness. Oh yes, she's closed on Tuesdays, so avoid Tuesdays.
This was a terrible experience and I will never return to this ridiculous restaurant. I ordered at 7pm and had to wait 1hr and 20minutes for a piece of meat to be cooked. We watched people who ordered after us get served and 6 meals came out of the kitchen before ours. It was pathetic that they didn’t even offer us anything on the house whilst we waited. I almost fainted because I had to wait for so long without eating my dinner. Meanwhile they have staff outside, at the front of the restaurant trying to get people to eat there. Clearly they need more staff in the kitchen!
We decided to dine at this restaurant on a whim after seeing a deal on Living Social. We encountered a slight issue with our voucher, but the staff were very helpful in resolving it. The restaurant is a cozy little café tucked away at the end of Fitzroy Street, offering a lovely view of the waterfront. While it operates as a café during the day, it transforms into a restaurant in the evening (though the name might be misleading for dinner service). Although there was a bit of a wait, the food was worth it - we both ordered the eye fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. I prefer my steak well done, and it was just right. We also enjoyed a salad and dessert, both of which were delicious. The Choc Baci Cake was particularly impressive, and it was gluten free. The Lemon Tart was also very tasty, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, it was great value for money and the food was excellent.
