Piatto Pizzeria Enoteca St. John's Downtown

Wow. Absolutely amazing pizza. The vegetables were fresh and juicy, the crust was just the right combination of crispy and chewing, and the cheese-to- sauce ratio was in the Goldilocks zone. If I could ask for one thing, it would be the option for a larger pizza, but I guess that would compromise the near-perfection in the offer. Our waitress was thoughtful and attentive: We told her that my father had a milk allergy and when my mother got soup with feta, the waitress let us know that it was also mixed into the soup base if she wanted to share it. The atmosphere was posh, with a great wine, beer and cocktail selection to complement their stand-out menu. Perfect place for a date!

What a great experience! Maybe the best Italian pizza I had. It was funny to watch them, make it and cook it in wood fired oven. The atmosphere was fun, great decoration with Italian theme, high ceilings, Vespa scooter, etc. Service was friendly and professional. I can't go wrong with one of the decisions. There are no thick fat meat lovers, all light, crispy, with authentic Italian ingredients. Had Italian wine and soda, and desserts like Nutella pizza, chocolate mousse, Lemoncello cake, and of course Gellato. Recommended, would definitely be back.

A place that truly deserves 5 stars. I had the pleasure of eating Piatto Pizzeria. When we first took our seats, the staff kindly asked about our drinks and brought us water immediately. We checked the menu and placed our order. Shortly after our Arancini arrived (see photo) that were absolutely delicious. After I finished the Arancini, I expected that I later retrieved the waiting personnel. To my pleasant surprise they filled up my glass shortly after. A few minutes later and we had our duck. I ordered the Siciliana (see photo) pizza, my important other ordered the Carbonara di Spinaci (see photo). Both dishes were phenomenal. The pizza, cooked for perfection in a wood stove. The sauce had a beautiful balance of natural sweetness and bang. Cheese and toppings tasted fresh. Finally, to bind it together, was the dough. The pasta was even more impressive with its great combination of flavors. Now the food was amazing, but the most impressive thing about Piatto was the waiting staff. They immediately filled our waters, got new cutlery when they took our fork away from the appetizer (typically forgetting staff), and to make it all of us over the table tried to take a group photo at the table and the waitress asked if they wanted to take the photo of the group so that everyone could be in it. I'm happy to eat here again.

Fantastic pizza! Without a doubt would love to come back. HIGHLY reccomend. We shared the margherita pizza and the Greek. Would order both again but I think the Greek was my favourite. Great friendly service as well.

One of the best pizza we've had so far. Really appreciated the gluten-free option, it truly was delicious. Great ambiance and super nice staff. One of the place to absolutely try in St-John's !
