This restaurant is a joke, the owner is completely crazy about noise control.

Located on Kenmount Road in the old Swiss Chalet Building. Went there for lunch with family and we found the food, the service and atmosphere great! Music was enjoyable also. Open, airy and bright. Nice.

We had high expectations when we visited Press and Bean, based on all the positive things we had heard about it. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to those expectations. The restaurant was not very busy, with just two other tables occupied. The appetizers were delicious, but things went downhill from there. We waited over 50 minutes for our main course, and when it finally arrived, there were issues such as missing sauce and raw vegetables. Some items on our seafood platters were lukewarm or cold. When we informed the staff about these issues, they became defensive and unhelpful. No apology or compensation was offered, and we were charged full price for our meal. We were also disappointed with the dessert we ordered to go, as the baklava was inedible. Overall, we will not be returning to Press and Bean, as we had planned to purchase gift certificates but no longer see a reason to do so.

I had the Calgary Herald half sandwich with a caesar salad. Too much BBQ sauce on the sandwich for my liking, and a bit messy so I had to cut it up with fork and knife, but it was fine. The salad was pretty good.They kindly let us stay a while after we finished eating to talk.Good prices for decent food.

The food itself is great. I really enjoy their Texas news panini. However the amount of time that it takes not only to get your food but also to order and receive your bill is not acceptable. I don't know if there is a problem in training or managing or what but to go here for a reasonable amount of time for a business lunch is not possible. I've been here a number of times and this is a common occurrence. They really need to increase their service time and then maybe will it be busier during lunch hours.
