What User doesn't like about Merlo's Inferno:
Apparently you can't pay a tip with debit - can only do so with cash. Some nonsense with management saving money by not having tips as a debit option, so the onus is on the wait staff to request cash from customers. Preisy with a long waiting period. They didn't accept credit cards when I was there. But it was the best steak I still have in town, perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce to accompany it. Everyone at the party of 12 loved their food. The steak was so good that it converted my girlfriend who was never a fan of Steak before.
Not quite the same experience as last time. The food was 90% as good. The service was pleasant but slow, due to our server looking busy while other staffers looked 'not so '. And the temperature was rather cool. We both are with our winter jackets on! Damn fine steak though!
The sandwiches/ paninis were some of the best we've had. The carrot soup was good. Burgers were disappointing. Service was mediocre, we waited a while to be seated, orders taken, and for the food to come. There weren't very many people there either. We had to ask for cutlery/condiments/water and our waiter had a cold I guess and kept rubbing his nose and touching things.
I can only say it was only moderately horrible that only time. The other times was fine. But I submitted a honest review of my experience. And I had an even worse experience with the owner online when I submitted it. I Allways write an honest review. But this time. It's best just to use the rating. Safe myself the response I got last time.
We were super disappointed with our experience yesterday. We were seated right away, ordered our drinks and food within 10 mins of being seated. 45 minutes went by, we were not checked on ONCE, and still did not receive our food. So we said we'd give it 5 more minutes before leaving and going somewhere else to eat. Just as we were about to get up and leave, our food came. No apology for the long wait. The food was good, but this experience has put a really bad taste in my mouth, I wont go back. It felt like they just forgot about us. 50 minutes waiting on a burger and a pasta, and the restaurant wasn't packed. VERY disappointing.
