Cojones was a little expensive, but really delicious. Waiting was extremely long: they told us when we arrived that it would take at least 1 hour to get our food (and it did)! But we got drinks and tortillas to cheat us and our main thing was delicious. I've lost the chicken enchilada. It was worth waiting! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cojones Tacos Tequila:
A bit disappointed I was very enthusiastic about all gluten-free labels on their menu. The server asked if I had an allergy or celiac disease... when yes, yes, he told me that more than half of the GF elements were not safe and fried with other wheat elements. I just wanted the moose bags! In the price the Sangria was not good, and I chose something I didn't really want. A restaurant should not be gluten-free if it i... View all feedback.
Not great for people extremely sensitive to cross contamination as I am) I ended up having to get fries :
The staff was very knowledgeable, and the menu was clearly marked. It was very comforting. This was probably the easiest meal we had in St. John's.
Cojones was a little pricey but really tasty. The wait was extremely long though: they told us when we arrived that it would take at least 1 hour to get our food (and it did)! But we got drinks and tortillas to tide us over and our mains were delicious. I had the chicken enchilada verde. It was worth the wait!
This place is fantastic. They have a fantastic selection of tequila and gluten-free options.
I was somewhat let down by this restaurant. I was initially thrilled to see so many gluten-free options labeled on the menu. However, when I mentioned to the server that I had a gluten allergy or celiac disease, he informed me that the majority of the gluten-free items were not safe, as they were fried with other wheat items. I had my heart set on the moose taquitos, but ended up settling for something else since I couldn't have them. The prices were high, the sangria was not good, and overall, I was disappointed with my experience. A restaurant should not advertise as gluten-free if it is not actually safe for those with allergies. They should consider labeling themselves as gluten-friendly instead. I found this to be very misleading.
