Ches's Fish and Chips is the place to go for well prepared fish and chips. The portions are substantial and the food is fresh and delicious. We specifically tried Ches's after having seen it on an an episode of You've Gotta Eat Here. Good, basic food served in a family restaurant. The stuffed cod was a delicious alternative for those not wanting their meal deep fried. It was exactly as we had expected. View all feedback.

Big portions but our family found the meal to be too greasy. I understand that it is a bit strange to say that we had fish and chips said it was greasy but I eat a lot of fish and chips but found the batter to be heavy with grease and not very light and fluffy. Went for dinner with a group of 9 people. They were out of about 1/2 of the items on the menu. I ordered scallops which were exceptionally greasy. The server was way too casual. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
I found a ant in my food and they they made me pay because I ate half my food. I was disgusted. I suspect that they left the food on the counter too long and let bugs get on it. I used the bathroom and it was very dirty. There was urine on the seat and it smelled very bad. I don't know if people clean it. I ordered shrimp but it was soft and undercooked.
