What Kathy C likes about Blue On Water:
I've had meals at Blue on Water for many years...I had 3 late afternoon lunches there in the past couple of weeks. This year they have an especially good selection for that time of day, when many restaurants on Water Street are closed. Each time we had a fish entree, all done with a contemporary recipe delicious. Excellent service atmosphere as well! View all feedback. What Akeem Veum doesn't like about Blue On Water:
Eat here last evening with a bunch of friends. The building and decor are beautiful- Rustic chic. The food however was terrible...I'll describe the food overall as tasteless and boring. Right from the bread to my duck entree. Also, some of my friends had oysters and they were warm and not served over ice...Our waitress had a great personality but was pretty much absent the whole time.. we waited a very long time to b... Blue On Water is a fancy fine dining restaurant located right downtown St.
Blue on Water has gone one of my go to places for breakfast/brunch.
Modern decor and intimate ambienceIt's adjacent to a hotel that's also artisticI wasn't a fan of their cocktail since it's a bit strong for my taste.

read moreBlue on Water Restaurant in St. Johns offers a beautiful rustic chic setting with excellent service. While some guests had issues with the food, such as cold lobster benedict, overall, the menu is varied and delicious. The inn connected to the restaurant has comfortable rooms, but guests should be aware that noise from the bar downstairs can be disruptive, especially late at night. For those looking for a lively bar scene, this might not be an issue. The restaurant provides a friendly casual atmosphere, top-notch food and drinks, and reasonable prices. Service may have some room for improvement, but the overall dining experience is highly recommended. From lobster rolls to beet salad, the food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Overall, Blue on Water Restaurant offers a satisfying dining experience in a cozy and welcoming environment.
