Gipfelhaus is located at the highest peak of Kitzbuhel, the Kitzbuhler Horn. The restaurant has a lovely austrian styled wooden dining hall. The service was very frendly and smooth. The food was exellent and the portions were large. I highly recommend this restaurant View all feedback.
What Donatella Serra doesn't like about Gipfelhaus am Kitzbuheler Horn:
Would have liked to be able to write a review of this restaurant but unfortunately failed to get served this morning. Got menus and then no one came to take order. Very disappointing. View all feedback.
In the frame of a summer trip to Austria with a stay in kitzbuhel we made a hike to the kitzbuheler horn (1.996m). after the parking lot at the alpenhaus under the mountain we hiked with dogs to the summit, stopped at the climax. and other refreshments. the service and the intention were excellent, very pleasant experience after walking in 33c heat. on the mountain is also the alpenblumengarten (alpenblumengarten) and hornköpflsee (bergsee).
I was there with my family and wanted to shoot me in the face. the food was mediocre, the truthahn carving was dried out and smaller than a palm, with it was burned tochinni. they could not be switched on, so we had to. some congratulations to eat potato. there was a man with an akkordeon who did his best to put me in depression. if they like supercendent music, that would be the place for them. I run it so that the keerl really does not help to improve the atmosphere and the mediocre eating with its intense jodeling.
Here on a walk in the surroundings. only had hot chocolates and the beautiful blueberry, both very good. the service was a little slow.
Many mountain restaurants can be a little disappointing, sloppily serving fast food to hungry winter sports enthusiasts. The Gipfelhaus is the exception to this rule. It is a la carte, and the selection is fairly limited but every dish is well prepared, well presented and...very tasty. For a truly exceptional lunch, eat on the terrace in the sun and enjoy the stupendous view from 2000m atop the Kitzbuheller Horn. It's what memories are made of.
A welcome stop after a steep and strenuous climb. Had a coffee and a schnapps. Friendly staff with good facilities and entertainment by a local accordion player. Amazing views all round.
