Helen was fabulous! The food was great and the service was great! Would like to eat my way across the menu!!
I hosted a corporate dinner for my international team, people from Poland, Italy, Montreal, The Netherlands and the US. We all agreed that our experience was exceptional from the atmosphere, service to the quality of the food. Brought multiple bottles of wine which the staff were happy to help serve, and no cork fee!
Had a wonderful dinner excellent food. The lamb shank for amazing.
First time here, have heard only good things about Basil. Food was delicious, service was spot on.
My new favorite restaurant I wanted to go out to dinner with hubby but not the diner or some other cookie cutter restaurant. I wanted delicious food, a relaxing atmosphere, great wait staff a memorable dining experience. Guess what?!? Basil Cafe was all that more! Loved our enthusiastic waitress, CarlaI can't wait to go back try more delicious food. Thanks Basil for making Saturdays dining experience a 10 out of 10.
Basil Cafe offers a patchwork of dining experiences that range from exceptional to disappointing. Many patrons rave about the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, and friendly staff, highlighting dishes like the cornish hen and poached pear over rice pudding. The attentive service, including accommodating requests like wine uncorking, further enhances the experience. However, some reviews reveal incidents of inconsistency, such as miscommunication over menu items and issues with billing. Overall, while the restaurant boasts memorable culinary offerings and a personal touch, patron reviews suggest potential areas for improvement in service and transparency.

Tight tables. First people there for the evening three us in the back corner by the bathroom with absolutely no space.I was up against the wall and my friend was sticking out having no table space. My friend had to move to the head of the table bc it was so tight and we aren’t even large individuals. Owner kept staring us down the whole evening. Mad the customer feel very uncomfortable. Told his waitress to tell us she has to move back when other table comes. Other table never came when we were there but still moved back. Portions are super small and overpriced. Wouldn’t return or recommend.
Amazing service A huge Thank you to the staff especially Corrine she was absolutely amazing in helping to accommodate us tonight for dinner. She really went above beyond to provide outstanding service in helping booking our table tonight. All of my friends rave about the food we are soooooo looking forward to tonight 's dinner made all possible by Kris. Thank you. In the words of Bart Scott Can 't Wait !! Food: 5

The food was delicious, but the prices were outrageously high. I couldn't believe that a small portion of burned asparagus cost nine dollars! The portion size was also disappointing. What is going on with these prices?
I had my daughter?s bridal shower at Basil. The outdoor deck was the perfect venue. People raved about the food and the service was excellent. Chef Ray and his wife, Ari were amazing to work with. They treated us like family.
Disappointed in this place went to lunch the appetizers we wanted were not ready yet so we were not able to order them according to the waitress. The salads we got with the grilled chicken were not good at all. One and done place and a little pricey for a small salad with chicken, will not return.
This was our first visit to Basil's and it won't be our last. The food and service was excellent. We had 2 appetizers sautéed eggplant and pita for 6. My main dish was zereshk polo. It was delicious. They have an outside area in the back that opens in warmer weather that is very nice.
I would like to thank you for the pleasant service and delicious food. The owners are so nice and it was such a great evening! Today my friends and I had dinner together. Our choice for dinner: Sauteed Eggplant, topped with crushed walnuts and caramelized onion with pita bread. Zereshk Polo and Zereshk Polo with tofu. I took a small piece of tofu to try and the taste pleasantly surprised me, it was delicious! My vegetarian friend also really liked it. Basil Special (a combination of Joojeh Barg) it was my choice, and It was very tasty! If you are very hungry, I recommend choosing this dish. We also ordered dessert, but only one for all, because we were full and there was almost no room for dessert. It was Apple Blossom with ice cream! Yummy! And one more small and pleasant detail that I liked is the simple and elegant tableware. I would recommend everyone go there and make reservations too.

The filet mignon with pink peppercorn sauce was outstanding. I also ordered sautéed fingerling potatoes, tomatoes with Kalamata olives, and sautéed mushrooms to complement my meal. This was the best dining experience I've had in quite some time.
The food at this restaurant is outstanding—fresh, tasty, and truly exceptional. The service is warm and excellent as well. I will definitely be making this a regular stop every week!
I've had the Wild Salmon at this restaurant twice before. It was delicious, but today's was unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. I ended up enjoying the vegetables instead.
I ordered pickup through DoorDash and the meal was fantastic! I can't wait to dine in at Basil Cafe one day. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was perfectly seasoned. What a great meal!
So delicious and fresh!

The food at this restaurant is outstanding. I've never left feeling disappointed. While we usually skip dessert, the poached pear with rice pudding is a must-try dish that you shouldn't overlook.
The food, service, and ambiance at this restaurant are outstanding. Make sure to reserve a table and consider bringing your own wine. If you’re fortunate, you might have Marcus as your server! The restaurant has a warm, cozy feel, and the service is impeccable. You may even have the chance to meet the chef/owner, who is truly a great person.
The owner, Ray, tried to avoid paying me for two days of work. As a young woman, he attempted to convince me that he didn’t owe me anything because it was just 10 hours of work. He claimed that the Department of Labor wouldn’t get involved, but the truth is that they recognize the importance of compensating for every hour worked. Ray’s business practices come across as shady and untrustworthy. While I was there, many customers complained about the food being dry and not meeting expectations. The quality of the food seems to be inconsistent. I would advise against wasting your time at this restaurant.

We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, and every single one was delicious. I highly recommend the Cornish hen! The owner, Ari, stopped by our table and was incredibly friendly. We chatted about our families, different cuisines, and her love for cooking for others. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had, and I felt compelled to share my positive experience.
This was our first visit to Basils, and it certainly won’t be our last. Both the food and service were exceptional. We began with two appetizers: the stuffed eggplant and pita bread for six. For my main course, I ordered the ceremonial chicken pilaf, and it was absolutely fantastic. They also have a charming outdoor seating area at the back, which is ideal for warm weather.

Pictured is the Caesar salad, Soltani and apple blossom. All 3 delicious, excellent food presentation. I've had my fair share of Persian food and this place does not disappoint. It was my first visit along with my girlfriend (an expert on Persian food. Small and intimate setting. Beautiful interior design. I do see future visits (interested in their pasta selection. If going for dinner, I do recommend calling ahead for reservations. Street parking only. BYOB. Friendly hostess and very helpful.
