Skiing in this area is fantastic and the people are very friendly. The food we ordered here was oke but not the best. But oke it is as it and we enjoyed the evening. The owner was very friendly and we loved the typical Austrian atmosphere.

On the outskirts of sankt jakob in defereggental, a visit worth, but be sure to book a table! we have experienced a cordial greeting, and the good atmosphere, as well as the excellent service went in the evening, we enjoyed dinner in sandwirt. The food was what I would call an excellent local, brilliant fresh ingredients a well prepared meal! the entire impression awakened our ghosts, despite the wet snow that falls out. we had rumpsteak, and the flesh was no longer there! my wife tried an equally excellent chicken dish. the wine selection was, well, to be honest quite tight, but the local red was ok. if they should end up in St. jakob, they will not miss this place for dinner. oh, btw, closed on Sundays.
