Was Keenan Torp at Java Joe's a mag?
it is super sweet inside and the coffee is very good. I have the vegan frittata. They were from tofurkey so I could add the veggies. it was not the best vegan breakfast I had (from the Detroit region to come) but the best for many miles, that is good enough for me! updated by the previous review on 2021-06-10 updated by the previous review on 2021-06-10 View all feedback.
What Joana Marés dislikes about Java Joe's:
When heading north it can be difficult to find veg options. I was excited to try this place so we crossed the bridge and were extra hungry. What a disappointment. We tried to order during usual eating hours and were told their ovens weren't on. This place seems to be a bit too relaxed with their schedule for hungry family travelers. Call ahead before visiting...or risk going hungry. View all feedback.

It's like home followed them up here with all the best eat and coffee and the best wait staff ever. and the owner is the coolest guy they'll ever meet.
Great place and good food. I always make a point to stop at breakfast. they will not be disappointed by this choice!
Wow, talk about hidden gemThe outside of the building is so cute, there are color paintings covering the exterior walls.
Java Joes is a charming café celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and excellent coffee, though primarily catering to vegetarians. While it offers a limited selection of vegan options—mainly fruit bowls and plain toast—the consensus suggests a desire for more inclusive, plant-based dishes. Despite the occasional service hiccup during busy hours and mixed experiences with food quality, many patrons appreciate the engaging décor and friendly staff. Overall, Java Joes stands as a delightful destination for coffee lovers, but could elevate its appeal with just a few thoughtful menu adjustments for the vegan community.
