Micklehead Green - St. Helens

The place seemed a little tired and the food was pretty average. I got the ribs and steak combo and the ribs were really dry like they’d been overcooked. Also got some calamari which had been over fried so the batter on them was burnt. They did refund one of the meals when we told them which was a kind gesture and that was appreciated. But won’t likely be visiting again soon.

21 of us celebrating our mum and dads 60th anniversary. We preordered our food and had a fabulous time. This could not of happened without Rachel, what a star. All food served hot with no one waiting and Rachel waiting our tables by herself. What a huge asset Rachel is in this establishment. Rachel is so professional, friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend for any celebrations. Thankyou Rachel for making our afternoon so special from balloons to service pure excellence

Rachel was excellent is supporting our family celebration, it was my parents wedding anniversary and the environment was excellent for them.

Micklehead Green Beefeater is often our first choice for a birthday meal and it never disappoints. This evening, we were looked after by Ellie, who apparently was new (we would never have known if she hadn't told us). She looked after us extremely well, taking our order correctly and checking on us a few times to ensure that we had everything we needed. The meal itself was excellent; two steaks cooked to perfection, lasagne and a burger. Ellie asked whether we wanted desserts afterwards but we were full by the end of the meal so we declined. We had a couple of Beefeater rewards vouchers which brought the bill down considerably always a bonus but even so the service and food was worth every penny.

Visited for Sunday lunch with my family and had a lovely time. We were greeted with a smile and took to our table straight away. The menu had lots of choice and the children’s portions were big and delicious. Liam was really helpful and made us feel welcome. We will definitely return
