American Bar & Restaurant - St. Gallen

I was 3 times at stars and stripes because it was a group trip. I wouldn't decide to go there alone. eating is extremely overpriced for the quality they deliver. I ate this at three different locations: 1. an irish whisky burger. it was served lukewarm and dry, it was not very tasty just a dry, lukewarm burger. 2. reserve ribs were also served lukewarm (I hate lukewarm food, especially when it pour out) it was difficult to separate the bone from the meat, only meh, 3. loaded pommes this was the worst dish that I had, very wounded fries, tasted like old fries in a microwave warmed so that the cheese and melted warm. I would have given 1 star, but the sundae they serve is really good.

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening due to the lack of other restaurants being opened so late (most closed by 10pm and we were looking around 9pm) good service, ok food (typical US style finger food, lots and lots of fried food),...and good beer. Excellent to fill a stomach if you don't have fancy needs.

Margaritas very pretty good! Was only here for drinks. I didn't really see any food options other than wings and desserts.

A friend and I arrived in St. Gallen in the early evening and were looking for a restaurant when we passed by Stars and Stripes and decided to give it a try. I ordered a Cheese Burger with fries and onion rings. The oz...Cheese Burger alone was CHF USD). The food and service were okay. Expect to pay more for meals in Switzerland, even Cheese Burgers.
