What User likes about Masons Arms:
booked for Sunday dinner and came to the table at 5.15. the lunch of told on Sunday was finished at 5 o'clock, and they didn't want to eat what was not fresh. while we were a little disappointed, I thought that rational was on the spot. from the main menu (steak and ale pie and veggie lasagne) and both were good games for home cooked meals. forget to take photos of the food, so they have to take my word for it! the e... Great atmosphere. Service was good not excellent. Food, out of 5 meals I could critique 3. My fish pie was mainly potato and cream sauce, very little fish pie shrimp in it. The scampi wasn't whole tail though stated that on the menu. The chicken in the chicken burger was a bit over done. Overall cost was more expensive for what it was. To put things in perspective, I think I could do a better job at home. View all feedback.

read moreThe Masons Arms offers a great atmosphere and friendly staff, but results were mixed when it came to the food. Some dishes fell short in terms of quality and portion size, leaving diners feeling underwhelmed. However, the pub's beer selection, service, and Sunday roast were highlights. The courtyard and beer garden make for a pleasant setting to enjoy a drink. While there were some negative experiences with staff and pricing, overall the Masons Arms is recommended for visitors looking for a cozy pub in Bury.
Family-friendly, massive portions, tasty eating, good affordable drinks, alcohol-free options. we repeat customers.
