I went to try the chimichanga and it was massive, I was able to enjoy it for two meals. They served the cheese sauce in a separate container to keep it crispy until you're ready to eat it. I opted for steak as my filling and kept all the toppings on it. I tried half of it without the cheese sauce and found it to be delicious, but even tastier with the cheese sauce. If you enjoy cilantro, it adds a great flavor. Defin... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Taco Chon Mexican Grill:
The restaurant was disappointing. There was no legitimate sign in the window, and the soda did not come with the meal and cost over $3. Most of the soda in the machine was flat. We ordered a chimichanga with bark meat, but it was poorly made and not authentic. They only had glassware, no plastic cups, and the silverware was placed in a way that made it unappetizing. Overall, the experience was not good and I will not... View all feedback.
Best tacos in central Minnesota, hands down. ?All fresh, even the hardshells. I’m assuming their made in house. Really great and very fair prices. Had 3 styles of tacos, street, birria and a regular hard. All excellent!
There is a lot of competition for Mexican Restaurants in St. Cloud, and while you can do worse than Taco Chon, I'd say it's pretty middle of the road. It's good, authentic Mexican food that isn't overly greasy. Prices are a bit funky, some stuff is cheap while some stuff seems a bit expensive. However, they do have unique menu options that some people may really appreciate. Whatever their customer service problem was, they have definitely cleaned up their act. This is a restaurant that will only get better and develop with time.
I had the birria taco plate it was delicious! It was very tasty and the best birrias I’ve had in MN so far. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to try more menu items!
The place had no customers to begin with, and they overpriced it. I do not recommend eating at this place. It’s so ghetto. I got 3 tacos for $14. Do not eat here.
This is a new restaurant for the Saint Cloud area. They have updated the inside to be vibrant and welcoming. The menu is vast but not overwhelming. Prices are good for the quality of food.I had a burrito with steak, pinto beans, and the works minus cheese and sour cream. It was a large quantity and had good quality meat. My wife had chips and quaso. The chips are thicker. And there were plenty of chips. The quaso was overall good. Will order from here again.
