Los 3 Compadres - St Charles

My wife and I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food and drinks are fantastic, and I finally got the chance to try their lunch menu. The photo shows their festive decorations and the generous portion size of the lunch chauvta. It was just the perfect amount!

Today there were 5 larger groups at the restaurant and my party of 2 felt somewhat neglected as a result. However, I do not hold it against the restaurant as it was just a situation. The food here is consistently delicious and the service is typically excellent. I will definitely be returning.

This was my first visit to the restaurant on a Friday. The waiter in the main area was constantly coughing. Despite the decent food, the long wait of 2 hours with children and tired grandparents was not worth it. We will give the restaurant another chance on a weekday.

We tried this place for the first time. It is attractive on the outside and the menu looked interesting. We went in and the host stood and looked worried. No word. We said two. He threw menus on the table and left. 14 minutes later the server approached with the same level of kindness for the beverage order. We ordered cheese with beans and hamburgers. That came with a half-filled basket of chips. 24 minutes later the server takes our order. That would be the last time we saw her at the table. 20 minutes later, someone falls off the food. It's wrong. I'm going the wrong record to the server and two others are standing there. I have to apologize and show her the record. She yanks it out of my hand and tells a third person to fix it. Nobody says I'm sorry. 10 minutes later the right plate arrives. It's about the TABLE. We eat something, but it's just not good and we're waiting for a check. I'll wait five minutes before the first person we met at the checkout and then scrambled to find a check. I paid and went and I'm so disappointed in this restaurant. Please find a restaurant that takes care of its product and its guests. It's not.

Pedro was great and very attentive. Excellent chips and salsa. Large menu. I wasn't super impressed with our meals, but I will admit that it's possible there are better menu items to try than what we had. The restaurant is loud which makes it hard to hear your friends when there are big groups dining without feeling like you're yelling.
